I'm Rodran Niclame. What you'll find here is eight years of personal notes — my observations on how I train, what I eat, and the daily practices that have become the foundation of how I live as a man. Nothing here is a prescription for anyone else.
Read the Journal My ApproachThree recent pieces from my personal notes — written honestly, for men who are curious about what a real, sustained individual practice actually looks like over years.
For eight years I have begun every morning with a structured sequence of bodyweight and resistance exercises I have developed and refined for my own use. My intention has never been to demonstrate anything to anyone — I wanted to understand what happened to my energy, focus, and general sense of vigour when I trained consistently versus when I didn't. What I observed in my personal practice is recorded across hundreds of pages of notes, three excerpts of which I've shared in the archive. I make no claims about what this means for anyone else.
I have no nutritional qualifications whatsoever. What I have is three years of personal observation following a significant shift in how I ate — higher protein, significantly more whole foods, a focus on what I call "masculine nutrition" (adequate fat, zinc-rich foods, reduced alcohol). I tracked my own energy, drive, and general wellbeing in writing throughout this period. I share those notes as personal documentation only. Consult a registered dietitian for any advice about your own diet.
Over eight years I have come to believe — based entirely on my own personal observation — that the daily rhythm of a man's life matters more than any single intense effort. I keep consistent sleep hours, eat at regular times, train in the morning without exception, and spend time outdoors each day. I don't present this as advice. I record it as a description of my own personal practice and what I personally observe in my own life as a result of maintaining it.
My name is Rodran Niclame. I am based in Apeldoorn and I hold no professional qualifications — not in personal training, sports science, nutrition, medicine, or any related field. I am a private individual who has maintained a daily personal practice for eight years and made a habit of documenting everything in writing.
This journal began as a purely private record. I wanted to understand what was actually happening in my own life — not what I thought was happening, but what the evidence of daily notes showed over months and years. The act of writing created clarity I couldn't get any other way.
After four years of private journaling, I began sharing excerpts with a small group of men who asked questions about my approach. Their responses suggested the documentation had value beyond my own use — and I eventually made the full archive publicly available. Everything I share reflects my personal experience only. I have never claimed otherwise and I never will.
These three areas structure my daily personal routine — not a prescribed programme, not a clinical protocol. The framework that emerged from eight years of honest personal observation and note-keeping.
The first pillar of my personal practice is daily physical training — a structured morning sequence I have developed and refined over eight years for my own use. It combines bodyweight resistance work, functional movement, and deliberate breathing. I do not follow any published programme; the sequences in my archive are the ones I personally developed through observation and iteration. I share them as a record of what I do — not as an instruction for anyone else to follow.
The second pillar is what I call intentional nutrition — a personal approach to eating that I have developed through eight years of paying close attention to my own responses to different foods. I emphasise protein, quality fats, and whole foods, and I avoid processed foods and alcohol almost entirely. I have no nutritional training and I am not giving dietary advice. I describe my own choices and what I personally observe. Anyone interested in changing their diet should speak with a registered nutritionist or dietitian.
The third pillar is daily rhythm — the consistent structure of my day that I have maintained over eight years. This includes fixed sleep and wake times, deliberate morning and evening routines, regular time outdoors, and a practice of brief daily reflection in writing. Based entirely on my personal observation, I have noted that the structure of my days correlates strongly with the quality of my training and my general sense of vitality. I document this as personal experience only.
These three pillars describe my personal practice only — not exercise instruction, nutritional advice, or medical guidance of any kind.
The questions I receive most often — beginning with the two that matter most to address with complete clarity.
Access to my personal notes and informal conversations about my eight-year practice. Not professional services — personal documentation shared directly.
Full digital access to my complete eight-year personal journal — all 560+ entries, organised by year and theme, with my own reflections on how my practice and observations evolved over time.
A 90-minute informal session — in Apeldoorn or online — where I walk through my complete personal practice in full detail. I share my actual daily sequences, eating approach, and daily rhythm as I personally live them. Personal sharing only — not professional coaching.
Ongoing monthly access to my new entries as I write them, plus one 30-minute informal call each month discussing my current practice observations. Full archive included from day one.
Personal reflections from men who have read the journal or attended a session. Individual accounts — experiences vary for every person.
"What strikes me most about Rodran's journal is the discipline of honesty. There are no success stories, no before-and-after claims — just careful daily notes from someone paying close and consistent attention to his own experience. That's exactly what I was looking for."
"I signed up for a session expecting a presentation. What I got was a genuine conversation between two men — honest, unpolished, and genuinely useful for my own thinking. The distinction between 'what I observe in my practice' and 'what you should do' was clear throughout."
"Eight years of notes is an unusual thing to encounter. The archive isn't polished content — it's a real record, with inconsistencies and course corrections included. The monthly membership lets me watch a living practice in progress, which is far more valuable than any finished system."
